The Magpul Industries M-LOK Tape Switch Mounting Plate is a weapon light mount.
A light mount holds a weapon light, and it decides two things: where the light sits, and whether its switch falls where your hand already is.
Mounts are made for a specific light body and a specific rail. A mount cut for a Surefire Scout does not take a light of another diameter, and an M-LOK mount does not fit a Picatinny rail without an adapter.
A tape or pressure switch has to be routed and secured. A loose tail is what snags and pulls the switch off the rail.
