The Proof Research Elevation 2.0 is a bolt action in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 22" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The .300 Winchester Magnum is commonly chosen for elk, large game and long-range work. Significant energy at distance, and significant recoil with it.
