Description
The MDT Chassis LSS GEN3 Rug is a rifle chassis for the Ruger American.
A chassis replaces the rifle's stock entirely. The barrelled action sits in a machined aluminium spine rather than being bedded into wood or polymer, and the grip, forend and buttstock bolt to that spine – so the parts that touch the shooter can be changed without disturbing how the action is held.
Most chassis take AICS-pattern detachable magazines and carry M-LOK slots on the forend for bipods and accessories.
The inlet is machined for the Ruger American. Actions are not interchangeable between chassis – a different make, or a long action where the chassis is cut for a short one, will not drop in.
It is inletted for a right-hand action. Bolt handedness is part of the machining, not an adjustment.
