Savage Arms 19156 25 Walking Varminter Full Size 204 Ruger 4+1 22″ Matte Black Heavy Barrel, Matte Black Carbon Steel Receiver Drilled & Tapped, Matte Black Fixed Varmint Synthetic Stock, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Arms 25 Walking Varminter is a bolt action in .204 Ruger with a 22" barrel, a 1:12 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The .204 Ruger is commonly chosen for varmints at distance. Very flat shooting with almost no recoil.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.

The Model 25 Walking Varminter gives a versatile combination of agility and accuracy. This rifle features a 22" medium-contour, carbon steel matte black barrel that's sleeved for added rigidity. It comes equipped with Weaver-style scope bases and triple pillar bedding. The revolutionary AccuTrigger, adjustable from 2.5 -3.25 lbs, is standard on the Savage Model 25 as well as a 4-round, detachable box magazine.
