The Riley Defense RAK102 is a semi-auto rifle in 7.62 x 39mm with a 16.25" barrel, a 1:9.45 twist and 30-round capacity.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes with adjustable sights.
The 7.62 x 39mm is commonly chosen for range practice, competition and carry. The most widely available centerfire handgun round, which keeps practice affordable and ammunition easy to find.
