The Allen Company Helix Polymer is a bipod.
A shooting support takes the weight of the rifle so the shooter is not holding it up. That removes one of the largest sources of wobble in a field position, and it is why supports appear on precision rifles. A bipod carries the front of the rifle, a tripod can carry the whole rifle or a spotting scope, and a monopod steadies one point rather than fixing the gun in place.
Check the attachment. Picatinny, ARCA dovetail and sling-stud fittings are not interchangeable without an adapter.
Height range matters as much as the mount: a bipod that will not extend far enough is useless over uneven ground, and one that will not fold short enough gets in the way when carried.
