Savage Arms 33179 Axis 2 XP 400 Legend 4+1 20″ Matte Black Carbon Steel Threaded Barrel & Drilled & Tapped Receiver, Gray Synthetic Fixed w/Pistol Grip Stock, 3-9x40mm Duplex Scope, Right Hand

Description

The Savage Axis 2 is a bolt action rifle in .400 Legend with a 20" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 4-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.

The .400 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.

The AXIS 2 XP offers hunters even better out-of-the-box performance. Includes factory mounted and bore sighted 3-9×40 scope with fully multi-coated lenses and tool-less windage & elevation adjustments.
