Description
The Savage Arms Axis II Bl/syn is a bolt-action rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 22" barrel.
This is a left-hand action: the bolt handle and ejection port are on the left side, laid out for a left-handed shooter. This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.
The 6.5 Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.
This is a left-hand action: the bolt handle and ejection port are on the left side, laid out for a left-handed shooter. A right-handed shooter would be reaching over the receiver to work the bolt.
