Description

The Savage Axis 2 is a bolt action rifle in .350 Legend with an 18" barrel, a 1:16 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy.

The .350 Legend is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
