Browning 036077218 X-Bolt 2 Long Range 308 Win 4+1 24″ Matte Gray Fluted Threaded Sporter Barrel, Matte Blued Picatinny Rail Stainless Steel Receiver, McMillan Game Scout Wood Finish Composite Stock

Description

The Browning X-Bolt 2 Long Range is a bolt action rifle in .308 / 7.62 NATO with a 24" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so plan on an optic and a way to mount it: a red dot or holographic sits on a rail, a scope needs rings and a base, and a rifle with neither needs a mount first.

The .308 is commonly chosen for hunting, target shooting and general use. Probably the most versatile centerfire cartridge available – ammunition is everywhere, and it handles most North American game.
