Browning 036118282 X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter Special Full Size 6.5 Creedmoor 4+1 22″ Matte Stainless Threaded Barrel, Matte Stainless Steel Drilled & Tapped Receiver, Black Adj Comb Synthetic, Stock Rig

Description

The Browning X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter is a bolt action rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.

The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.
