Winchester Repeating Arms 535741289 XPR Hunter Full Size 6.5 Creedmoor 3+1 22″ Flat Dark Earth Perma-Cote Sporter Barrel, Drilled & Tapped Steel Receiver, TrueTimber Strata Fixed Synthetic Stock

Description

The Winchester Repeating Arms XPR Hunter is a bolt action rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 22" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 3-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes drilled & tapped, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.

The Winchester XPR bolt-action rifle embodies the lasting quality you've come to expect from Winchester Repeating Arms. Features Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System; two-position safety; bolt release button; one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design offers a generous guard opening for use with gloves; chromoly steel, free-floating barrel; drilled & tapped chromoly steel receiver; synthetic stock with an Inflex Technology recoil pad and a detachable single stack box magazine.
