The Thompson Center Encore is a rifle barrel in .223 REM/5.56 NATO, 15" long.

Check the twist rate against the bullet weights you intend to shoot. Twist decides which bullets a barrel stabilises, and it is fixed when the barrel is made.

It is chambered in .223 REM/5.56 NATO. Chamber and bore have to match the ammunition exactly – a barrel is not adaptable to another cartridge.

Fitting a barrel is gunsmithing on most actions: headspace has to be checked with gauges after installation. An AR-pattern barrel is the usual exception, being a drop-in against a correct bolt.
