Browning 025176270 T-Bolt Target/Varmint 17 HMR 10+1 22″ Heavy Target Barrel, Polished Blued Steel Receiver, Satin Black Walnut Stock With Monte Carlo Comb, Optics Ready

Description

The Browning T-bolt Target/varmint 17 HMR is a bolt action rifle in .17 HMR with a 22" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.

This is a conventional rimfire barrel length. Rimfire powder is fully burnt well before the muzzle, so extra length adds sight radius and weight rather than velocity. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes drilled & tapped, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The .17 HMR is commonly chosen for small game and varmints at extended range. It carries a rimfire out to roughly 200 yards with a very flat trajectory, though the light bullet is easily pushed by wind.

The T-Bolt is one of the most accurate, handy and easy-to-shoot rimfires ever produced. Its straight "T" bolt design lets you load and eject with a simple pull back and push forward. The Double Helix rotary box magazine is easy to load and unload and puts the little cartridges in perfect alignment with the chamber every time. The stock includes dual action screws, sling swivel studs, and synthetic buttplate. The T-Bolt also features drilled and tapped steel receiver, lightweight gold-tone trigger, three-lever trigger, and top-tang safety. This Target/Varmint model features polished metal finish, Monte-Carlo comb stock, and free-floating barrel.
