The KBAR Last Ditch Knife fixed blade knife features a 1.625" 9Cr18MoV stainless blade.
The blade is 9Cr18MoV SS, a higher-carbon Chinese stainless that holds an edge noticeably longer than 8Cr13MoV while staying easy to maintain.
A fixed blade of this size suits hunting, camp and outdoor work where strength matters more than pocketability – there is no pivot to fail and it cleans easily.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 1.625" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
With an overall profile about the size of a credit card, this knife can be concealed just about anywhere.
