Savage Arms 32204 Axis 2 XP Combo Full Size 223 Rem 4+1 22″ Black Sporter Barrel, Black Carbon Steel Receiver Drilled & Tapped, Gray Fixed Synthetic Stock, Weaver 3-9x40mm Scope, Left Hand

Description

The Savage Arms Axis 2 Xp is a bolt action in .223 REM/5.56 NATO with a 22" barrel, a 1:9 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The .223 REM is commonly chosen for varmints, predators and target work. Cheap, widely available and light on recoil, which makes it an easy cartridge to shoot well.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.
