Description
The Bergara Premier Series is a bolt action in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 20" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.
This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize.
The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.
