The Bergara B-14 Series is a bolt action in .300 AAC Blackout with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 6-round capacity.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
The .300 AAC Blackout is commonly chosen for short-range work and suppressed shooting. It was designed to run subsonic loads well through a suppressor.
