The Winchester Xpr Extreme is a bolt action in .30-06 Springfield with a 24" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 3-round capacity plus one chambered.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with.
The .30-06 Springfield is commonly chosen for a broad range of game from deer to elk. Over a century old and still one of the most flexible hunting cartridges made.
