SAV RASCAL TRGT XP 22LR 16.125″ BLK

Description

The Savage Rascal is a bolt action in .22 LR with a 16.125" barrel and a 1:16 twist.

Rimfire velocity peaks in the high teens of barrel length, so a barrel this short gives up very little and keeps the rifle light and quick to handle. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes optic ready, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The .22 LR is commonly chosen for small game, training and high-volume practice. Ammunition is cheap enough to shoot all day, which is why it remains the standard first rifle and the standard practice rifle.

This is a serialized firearm. It ships to a licensed dealer near you rather than to your door, and you complete the transfer there with a Form 4473 and a background check. State and local rules govern what can be shipped where, so check yours before ordering – and if you are unsure, ask us first.

Savage produces purpose built firearms that come out of the box bristling with special features you won't find from other manufacturers. Whether you use them for recreational or competitive shooting, self-defense or hunting, Savage products are designed to give you an edge.
