The blade is 8Cr13MoV SS, a budget-friendly Chinese stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust well, though it needs touching up more often than premium steels.
At under two and a half inches this is a compact everyday carry knife: light in the pocket, unobtrusive, and legal to carry in more places than a larger blade.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 2.4" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
The Shuffle DIY, in its garage-appropriate black and gray coloring, features a bit driver and two screwdriver bits, plus a keychain ring along with the handy features other Shuffles are known for. This compact knife is equipped with a shorter, but wider, blade of quality stainless steel. The handle's contours fit the hand comfortably. And yes, the bottlecap lifter, built into the back of the knife, is still there.
