Polymer-tipped – a synthetic tip sits in the nose. It resists deforming in the magazine, gives a more consistent shape in flight, and drives back into the bullet on impact to start expansion.

Bullet weight is given in grains; there are 7,000 to the pound, so this one weighs 225 grains. Within a calibre a heavier bullet generally leaves the muzzle slower and carries its velocity further, while a lighter one starts faster and sheds speed sooner.
