Description
The Henry Repeating Arms Protector is a lever action in .360 Buckhammer with a 16.5" barrel, a 1:12 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.
A carbine-length barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable, trading some velocity for handling. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize.
The .360 Buckhammer is commonly chosen for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. These exist to satisfy regulations that prohibit bottleneck rifle cartridges for deer.
