The Springfield Armory 2020 Waypoint is a bolt action in 6MM Creedmoor with a 20" barrel, a 1:7.5 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The 6MM Creedmoor is commonly chosen for competition and target shooting. Popular in precision series for its low recoil and high ballistic coefficient bullets.
