Description
The Spyderco Endura 4 Lightweight features a 3.75" VG-10 stainless blade, clip point, serrated edge, FRN handle, satin finish.
The blade is VG-10 SS, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.75" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
All Endura 4 Lightweights are distinguished by their skeletonized stainless steel liners and injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon handles. This specific version of the design includes a stout saber-ground VG-10 stainless steel blade with a partially serrated CombinationEdge that offers enhanced cutting performance on fibrous materials. Bi-Directional Texturing on the handle ensures a positive grip in even the most demanding conditions and its four-position pocket clip can be easily configured for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side of the body.
