Description
The Spyderco C28P Dragonfly 2 folder features a 2.31" VG-10 stainless blade, clip point, serrated edge, stainless handle.
The blade is VG-10 SS, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. Stainless scales are durable and easy to clean, though heavier than polymer.
At under two and a half inches this is a compact everyday carry knife: light in the pocket, unobtrusive, and legal to carry in more places than a larger blade.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 2.31" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
The stainless Dragonfly II is small and completely stainless. Made of premium VG-10 stainless, the leaf-shaped blade is flat-ground with a thin-honed performance cutting edge. Poised above the Spyderco Round Hole is a point to set the thumb on, which provides control while cutting. The three-screw metal pocket clip situates the folder for tip-up carry.
