The Spyderco Military folder features a 4" CPM S30V stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is CPM S30V SS, an American powder-metallurgy stainless that offers excellent edge retention and toughness, at the cost of more effort to resharpen. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
This is a larger folder aimed at outdoor and work use, where reach and cutting power matter more than minimising pocket bulk.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 4.0" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
The Military ergonomics meet the requirements of a high-performance, lightweight folder designed for hard use. The "Millie" has a modified clip-point blade laser cut with a 14mm Spyderco Round Hole for quick deployment and for use with gloves. Texturing above the hole holds the thumb in contact with the blade's spine during cutting for confident control over the sharpened edge. The handle flares slightly at the front end creating a finger choil and at the butt end, which keeps the knife from slipping forward or backward in the hand while sawing or making tough or aggressive cuts. A contoured black metal clip is set for right-hand tip-down carry.
