Description
The Spyderco Manix 2 folding knife features a 3.37" CPM S30V stainless blade, plain edge, G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is CPM S30V SS, an American powder-metallurgy stainless that offers excellent edge retention and toughness, at the cost of more effort to resharpen. A plain edge makes clean push cuts and slices, and it is the easier edge to resharpen in the field. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.37" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry. In addition to a worldwide distribution network and manufacturing resources in the U.S., Japan, Taiwan, Italy, and China, their innovation has also earned an impressive portfolio of patents, trademarks, and industry awards. More importantly, it has earned the trust and loyalty of countless thousands of dedicated knife users around the world-an audience to whom Spyderco is extremely grateful.
