Description
The Spyderco Lil' Native features a 2.42" CPM S30V stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, textured G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is CPM S30V SS, an American powder-metallurgy stainless that offers excellent edge retention and toughness, at the cost of more effort to resharpen. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
At under two and a half inches this is a compact everyday carry knife: light in the pocket, unobtrusive, and legal to carry in more places than a larger blade.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 2.42" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
The Lil' Native distills all the key qualities of the iconic Native model into a compact, easy-to-carry gentlemans folder with a 2.5" blade. This version further elevates the design by adding Spydercos high-strength Compression Lock mechanism and cloaking the blade in a non-reflective Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating. Its full-flat-ground CPM S30V stainless steel blade includes a prominent index-finger choil that offers even larger hands a full, four-fingered grip. A low-profile deep-pocket wire clip allows left or right-side tip-up carry and keeps the knife poised for instant access. To complement the blades finish, the clip and all handle screws also sport a subdued black finish.
