The Spyderco Endela Lightweight features a 3.41" VG-10 stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, FRN handle, blue finish.
The blade is VG-10 SS, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.41" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
Sized to perfectly split the difference between our iconic Delica 4 and Endura 4 models, the Endela is rapidly earning a reputation as the perfect compromise. To make this full-service folder even more capable, it is now available with an Emerson Opener an integral hook on the spine of the blade opens it automatically as its drawn. This high-speed version of the Endela features a saber-ground VG-10 blade, skeletonized stainless steel liners, a sturdy lockback mechanism and an injection-molded fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle in the distinctive blue-gray color of our Emerson-Opener-equipped knives.
