Description

The Taurus G3 Toro is a semi-auto in 9mm with a 4.5" barrel and 10-round capacity.

This is a full-size handgun barrel length – more velocity and a longer sight radius than a compact, in exchange for size. It comes with fixed front/adj rear sights. The slide is cut for a red dot, so an optic mounts without machining. The optic and, on most models, a mounting plate are bought separately, and the plate has to match the footprint your optic uses.

The 9mm is commonly chosen for range practice, competition and carry. The most widely available centerfire handgun round, which keeps practice affordable and ammunition easy to find. The manufacturer markets it as a defensive handgun; whether it suits you is a decision to make with your own training and requirements in mind.
