The Heritage Arms Manufacturing 92 is a lever action in .44 Magnum with a 24" barrel, a 1:24 twist and 12-round capacity.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles. It comes with adj drift front/adj buckhorn rear sights.
The .44 Magnum is commonly chosen for handgun hunting and large game defense. Heavy recoil, and generally more cartridge than most shooters want for practice volume.
