The blade is 440C SS, a classic American stainless that resists corrosion strongly and sharpens readily, with moderate edge retention. Stainless scales are durable and easy to clean, though heavier than polymer.
At under two and a half inches this is a compact everyday carry knife: light in the pocket, unobtrusive, and legal to carry in more places than a larger blade.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 1.7" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
