Description

The Glenfield Model A is a bolt action in .30-06 Springfield with a 20" barrel, a 1:10 twist and 4-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes picatinny scope base installed, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.

The .30-06 Springfield is commonly chosen for a broad range of game from deer to elk. Over a century old and still one of the most flexible hunting cartridges made.
