The Weatherby 307 Range Sf 6.5 is a bolt action in 6.5mm Creedmoor with a 20" barrel, a 1:8 twist and 5-round capacity plus one chambered.

This barrel length is a common compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while staying manageable to carry. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.

The 6.5mm Creedmoor is commonly chosen for long-range target shooting and deer-sized game. It became the default precision cartridge because it delivers high-BC bullets with modest recoil and good barrel life.

The Model 307 Range SF bolt action that was designed to have a tool-less disassembly which allows hunters and shooters to easily field strip their bolt if needed. The bolt is equipped with an M16 style extractor for positive extraction and reliable ejection. The Range SF comes standard with an externally adjustable TriggerTech Field trigger; Accubrake; Magpul removable magazine and is compatible with AICS magazines; lightweight vertical grip stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and adjustable length of pull; touch points are textured for a non slip grip and dual front swivel studs allow for multiple accessories.
