The CIVIVI Knives Praxis features a 3.75" 9Cr18MoV stainless blade, plain edge, textured Micarta handle, black finish.
The blade is 9Cr18MoV SS, a higher-carbon Chinese stainless that holds an edge noticeably longer than 8Cr13MoV while staying easy to maintain. Micarta warms to the hand and grips better as it takes on a patina.
A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.75" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
