Description
The PETERSON CARTRIDGE Rifle 50 Per is cartridge brass.
This is brass – empty cases, the part of a cartridge that holds everything else together. Unprimed cases contain no primer, no powder and no bullet.
Cases are cartridge-specific and are the component that gets reused. New brass usually still needs sizing, and often trimming to length, before it is loaded the first time. After that, each firing stretches it a little, so it is trimmed again as it grows and eventually retired.
Sticking to one headstamp matters more than it looks: case wall thickness varies between makers, which changes internal volume, which changes pressure for the same charge.
Work from published load data for the exact bullet, powder, primer and case you are using. Components that look interchangeable are not – swapping one for a similar one changes pressure, and that is where handloading goes wrong.
These are handloading components, not loaded ammunition. They ship directly to your address.
