Description
The CMMG Zeroed is a gas system component, .750" journal, adjustable.
The gas block sits on the barrel over the gas port and routes gas back through the tube to cycle the action.
The journal figure is the barrel diameter the block clamps onto, and it has to match exactly. .750" is the most common, .625" appears on lighter barrels.
Two dimensions have to match: the journal diameter the block clamps onto (.750 and .625 are the common ones) and the gas system length, which is set by where the port is drilled. An adjustable block adds a screw that meters how much gas is passed, which is how a rifle is tuned for a suppressor or a particular load.
A low-profile block is sized to sit under a free-float handguard. A standard-height one will not.
