The Barrett Firearms 82A1 is a semi-auto in .416 Barrett with a 29" barrel, a 1:12 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is slower than the usual twist for this cartridge, so it favors lighter bullets; very heavy projectiles may not stabilize. It comes with flip up rear sights.

The .416 Barrett is commonly chosen for large and dangerous game.
