How FFL Transfers Work: Buying a Gun Online

Buying a firearm online is simpler and more transparent than most people expect. At Kazu Arms, every firearm ships to a licensed dealer (an FFL) near you, where you complete a standard background check and pick it up. Here’s exactly how it works.

Step 1 — Order online

Browse our catalog, add what you want to your cart, and check out securely. Ammunition and accessories ship straight to your door where allowed; serialized firearms route to an FFL.

Step 2 — We ship to your FFL

At checkout you choose a licensed dealer (FFL) near you from our map-based selector — pick any FFL nationwide. We ship your firearm directly to that dealer.

Step 3 — Pick it up

When your firearm arrives, head to the dealer, complete the standard federal background check (ATF Form 4473), and take it home. The dealer may charge a small transfer fee.

What you’ll need

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID
  • To meet the legal age and eligibility requirements in your state
  • Your chosen FFL’s details (we help you find one at checkout)
