The Kershaw 3410 Chill folder features a 3.10" 8Cr13MoV stainless blade, clip point, plain edge, G-10 handle, black finish.
The blade is 8Cr13MoV SS, a budget-friendly Chinese stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust well, though it needs touching up more often than premium steels. G-10 is a fiberglass laminate: light, dimensionally stable, and grippy even wet.
Around three inches is the everyday carry sweet spot – long enough for boxes, cord, food prep and general utility, short enough to disappear in a pocket.
Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.1" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.
Lightweight with a very thin profile, the Chill series is an easy to carry EDC type knife. It is designed by world famous knife maker RJ Martin and features a flipper on the blade for easy opening. The G-10 handle slabs are thin but give a good grip. The pocket clip is minimal and set off to one side of the back of the handle.
