The Kershaw Oso Sweet folding knife/assisted features a 3" 8Cr13MoV stainless blade, satin finish.

The blade is 8Cr13MoV SS, a budget-friendly Chinese stainless that sharpens easily and resists rust well, though it needs touching up more often than premium steels.

Around three inches is the everyday carry sweet spot – long enough for boxes, cord, food prep and general utility, short enough to disappear in a pocket.

Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.0" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it. Knives ship directly to you with no FFL transfer and no background check, unlike a firearm. Keep the blade dry and the pivot clean, and touch the edge up on a strop or fine stone before it gets properly dull – it is far less work than bringing back a blunt edge.

This is indeed one sweet little pocketknife. First of all, the Oso Sweet opens one-handed with SpeedSafe assisted opening. Just pull back on the ambidextrous flipper and the blade moves out of the handle ready for use. Whether you're a left-hander or right-hander, your blade is easy to access and ready to go when you are. Kershaw heat-treats the 8Cr13MoV blade steel to bring out its high-performance characteristics like good edge retention, strength, hardness, and wear resistance. The handle is glass-filled nylon for excellent durability and incorporates a textured scale pattern that gives the Oso Sweet a unique look. A locking liner secures the blade during use and recloses easily for pocket carry or storage. The pocketclip can be reversed for tip-up or tip-down carry.
