The Spyderco Matriarch 2 features a 3.57" VG-10 stainless blade, clip point, serrated edge, FRN handle, black finish.

The blade is VG-10 SS, a Japanese high-carbon stainless that takes a very fine edge, holds it well, and resists corrosion – a long-standing favourite for folding knives. A serrated edge bites into rope, webbing and fibrous material far better than a plain edge, and stays aggressive long after a plain edge has dulled. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.

A blade in this range handles heavier everyday tasks and light outdoor work while still carrying comfortably clipped in a pocket.

Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 3.57" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it.
