The blade is CPM S30V SS, an American powder-metallurgy stainless that offers excellent edge retention and toughness, at the cost of more effort to resharpen. FRN keeps the weight and the price down while staying tough and textured in hand.

At under two and a half inches this is a compact everyday carry knife: light in the pocket, unobtrusive, and legal to carry in more places than a larger blade.

Carry laws are set locally as well as by state, and a 2.3" blade is legal to carry in many places and not in others – check your state and city rules before you carry it.
