Description
The Magpul Industries Barrel Extension Device Block is a receiver block.
A block holds the receiver still while you apply real torque – to a barrel nut, a castle nut or a muzzle device – without the vice jaws crushing or scarring it.
Blocks are pattern-specific: an AR upper block indexes into the receiver's own features, and a lower block or magwell block supports the lower. Clamping a receiver directly in a vice, or in the wrong block, is how receivers get bent – aluminium does not spring back.
