Description
The HUXWRX Safety Company Alignment Rod is a muzzle device alignment rod.
An alignment rod checks that a muzzle device or suppressor mount is CONCENTRIC with the bore. It slides through the device and into the barrel: if it passes freely, the device is aligned; if it binds or will not enter, it is not.
This is a safety check, not a nicety. A device that sits off-axis puts the bullet's path into the baffles or the wall of a suppressor – a baffle strike that can destroy a can worth more than the rifle, and can send fragments out of the muzzle. Check alignment after every install and any time a device has been removed and refitted.
The rod is caliber-specific: it has to match the bore it is checking.
