Armscor/Rock Island Armory .300 AAC Blackout ammunition, 220 grain match, 20 rounds per box.
Match construction – made to tighter dimensional tolerances than general purpose ammunition. These are target bullets and are not designed around expansion.
The base is a boat tail – tapered rather than flat. That reduces drag behind the bullet, so it holds velocity better over distance than a flat-based bullet of the same weight.
Bullet weight is given in grains; there are 7,000 to the pound, so this one weighs 220 grains. Within a calibre a heavier bullet generally leaves the muzzle slower and carries its velocity further, while a lighter one starts faster and sheds speed sooner.
