Description
The Kahr Arms Auto-ordnance Thompson Tao is a bolt action in .50 BMG with a 29" barrel, a 1:15 twist and 10-round capacity plus one chambered.
A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.
The .50 BMG is commonly chosen for extreme long-range and recreational shooting. Rifle, ammunition and everything around it are expensive.
