The Barrett Firearms MRAD is a bolt action in .338 Lapua Magnum with a 26" barrel, a 1:9.4 twist and 10-round capacity.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It ships without iron sights, so budget for an optic, rings and a base if you do not already have them.
