Barrett 20152 M82A1 America 250 50 BMG 10+1 Black Fluted Barrel, Steel Receiver w/Picatinny Rail, QD BiPod Forend. M-LOK Handguard, Black Polymer Grip

Description

The Barrett Firearms 82A1 is a semi-auto rifle in .50 BMG with a 20" barrel, a 1:15 twist and 10-round capacity.

This barrel length is the usual compromise: enough to develop most of the cartridge's velocity while still being manageable to carry all day, and short enough that a suppressor on the end does not make it unwieldy. Twist rate determines which bullet weights stabilize: a faster twist favors heavier, longer projectiles.

The .50 BMG is commonly chosen for extreme long-range and recreational shooting.
